Chili peppers have long been used to add flavor
and “spice up” a great variety of dishes. Chili peppers come in many varieties, each with its
own level of “heat”, with Habenero being the
hottest available, Jalapenos the most versatile,
and Pasilla the best for chili rellenos. Chilies
are fat free, saturated fat free, cholesterol
free and have very low sodium. Low in
calories, they are high in vitamin A and C,
with many chili varieties containing more
vitamin C than citrus fruit.
